Great place for a fsmiky stay in Durham Positive: The home had all we needed -ample space for our family, comfortable beds and sofas. It was clean and quiet. Easy access to central Durham, shopping and the motorway

Disappointing Positive: Great amount of space. Good location. Great furniture and TV. Comfy beds. Lovely white sheets. Negative: Multiple house rules. Absolutely fine but you need to be prepared for them to come over before your trip. There is a separate portal where you need to input card details for your security deposit. This was refunded after my stay. Thank you. The house requires maintenance. The weeds in the driveway were the first indicator that this house needs love. I found the smell in the kitchen off putting - I think maybe it was due to the heat but it still needed a good dose of bleach. I just can’t imagine the cleaners not noticing it. The out of date biscuits (April 2026) that were provided, the damaged paintwork on multiple walls and most doors and exposed wall filler made it overall a disappointing experience. Other things could have been cleaned better - the fridge, the hall light fitting, mirrors. It wasn’t bad, but it just needs a few hours to get it back up to ‘luxury’ as described in the description. It feels well-used which is good, but reinvestment is also part of that. An email prior to arrival would have prepared us for the decorative state. I do understand from the owner that they had difficult guests a few days before that had done some damage and a tv had come off the wall. This must have been very difficult to manage, however communication was lacking to advise our party on the issues. I did pass all this on to the owner privately but he requested I leave a review so he could respond- hopefully all of these issues have been rectified. Wishing Andrew and Jane all the best. As an accommodation provider myself I know how tricky it can be to get it right.

Lovely comfortable stay Positive: Beautiful home with lovely garden. Negative: More garden furniture needed, little repairs would complete it.

We had a rather wet weekend in Durham. However the accommodation was very welcoming absolutely perfect for our needs. Positive: Wonderfully clean & tidy. Everything we needed for a weekend away. Negative: The bed in the master bedroom was rather uncomfortable. In my opinion a new mattress is required.

Positive: Fantastic well equipped and ultra clean home a short ride from Durham centre. Negative: All good
